GY-530 VL53L0X extends the TOF ranging range to two meters with an accuracy of ± 3%. The measurement speed is faster than the previous generation, the ranging time is less than 30ms; it is more energy-saving, the power consumption in normal working mode is only 20MW, and the standby power consumption is only 5 μ a. The sensor completes the distance calculation in the output data of I2C bus interface, so the main controller of the system needs to be minimized.

The internal laser emits 940 nm of invisible light and does not harm the eyes. This eliminates the problem of redistribution with other infrared proximity detection sensors and enhances immunity to external light sources. The digital architecture and auto compensation function of the sensor can achieve high ambient light level.

The sensing function of vl53l0x can support a variety of functions, including various innovative user interface gesture sensing or proximity detection, sweeping robots and other electrical appliances, wall detection, cliff detection, collision detection, health products, such as: faucets, soap dispensers, dry-type hand machines and irrigation equipment, other target applications including laptop user presence detection or power switch monitoring Vision, UAV, and Internet of things products.
